Religion Study Group will start a new book January 8th, Convictions.

Starting on Wednesday, January 8 at 10AM the Religion Study Group will begin discussing a new book, Convictions:  How I Learned What Matters Most, by Marcus J. Borg.  Borg, preeminent theologian and Bible scholar, reflects on his life and how he developed his most bedrock convictions—and why they matter. The result is a manifesto for all progressive Christians who seek the best path for following Jesus today.

Books are available for purchase for $13 in the church office (please let us know if you need a copy). Class meets every Wednesday from 10-11AM.

For a preview of some of the issues and ideas of progressive Christianity, check out the five-part series offered a few years back by a past FGUCC pastor, Rev. Dr. Jennifer Yocum. You can listen to the audio down below.
